Supporting children and young people’s mental health
We were delighted to take part today in the #HelloYellow campaign launched by Young Minds UK which supports young people’s mental health on World Mental Health Day. Our team were proud to wear yellow to support the campaign which does so much to support young people in the UK.
Staff at Heath Care Group in Altrincham donned yellow on 10th October 2019 (World Mental Health Day) to raise awareness of a charity that aims to support children and young people’s mental health.
YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity fighting for young people’s mental health. The charity recently conducted a major piece of research about young people with mental health problems which exposed huge gaps in early support, and highlighted school pressure, body image and traumatic childhood experiences as common factors that can lead to poor mental health.
The team from Heath Care Group, which provides specialist solo housing and therapy support for children and young people across the North West say the mental health of young people is an important issue that needs to be addressed.
Mark Dyson, CEO of Heath Care Group, said:
We decided to join thousands of schools, offices, companies and community groups who wore yellow to raise vital funds for YoungMinds. It’s all aimed at showing young people they’re not alone with their mental health.
We place great emphasis on supporting our children and young people and mental health is one of the things highest on our agenda as we support them with intensive therapy in a home setting. The #HelloYellow campaign is a fantastic initiative and we are proud to show our support.
